Anonymous asked: how many domestic violence cases are reported in each year?

I’m sorry, I can’t answer that because I do not know and google isn’t helping me at all in this research…but the chances of domestic violence being reported in general is very little unfortunately.

Only because people feel helpless, afraid, ashamed, or weak to call out for help. One in four women will suffer domestic violence in her life. In fact women are one of the main victims of domestic violence. 85% of victims are women. (1.3 million) Most cases are never reported to the police.

But even so, that shouldn’t discourage anyone to stand up against domestic violence.

If you are a victim, you must report your case as soon as possible. It isn’t something that people should deal with on their own. I’m assuming the number of reports are extremely little. But we can change that, yeah?
